Pick your three favorite genres of music. Put them in a blender. Add some horns. Toss on a thin layer of satire, and you’re well on your way to understanding the Oklahoma Stackhouse approach to music. Established in 2011, Oklahoma Stackhouse is an Orlando, FL. based band blurring the lines between blues, reggae, rock, ska, jazz, and funk.
In 2015, Oklahoma Stackhouse released their second full length album “Bird Dog Blues.” Showcasing eight diverse new original tracks, the album also features a punk rock cover of The Beatles classic “With a Little Help from my Friends,” a rap infused ska/reggae rendition of the viral Sonseed song “Jesus is a Friend of Mine,” and a jazz/rock take on the “Hey Arnold!” theme song from the beloved 90’s cartoon.
The band’s unique style and high energy culminate in live shows that anyone and everyone can enjoy. So no matter what your ears may crave, Oklahoma Stackhouse invites you to join them in challenging the musical norm.
